Introducing New RPOA-M Executive Director Erika Farley

As a member of the state-wide Rental Property Owners Association of Michigan (RPOA-M), we would like to inform our members of the association’s new leadership and give a warm welcome to Executive Director Erika Farley!

Please see below for an introduction letter from Erika to learn a bit more about her and her role.

Dear Members:

My name is Erika Farley and I am the new Executive Director of the Rental Property Owners Association of Michigan (RPOA-M). I want to introduce myself, to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve in this position and share my goals in serving the RPOA-M and you its members.

A little bit about myself, I have been working in public policy and governmental affairs in Michigan on the state and local level for more than 20 years serving in the Governor’s Office, the Michigan Legislature and in the private sector. I was born and raised in Saginaw and am graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University (GO GREEN!). I have two kids who are about to graduate from high school and will be heading to college in the fall. It’s an exciting time for my family!

I am very excited to be working for RPOA-M and look forward to working with all of you to protect the industry and move it forward in this new political environment in Michigan. Housing, specifically rental housing, is a topic that has come to the forefront over the last few years for the first time in several decades. It is a great time to not only be involved on the public policy front but to also educate public policy makers and the general public on the industry and the wonderful efforts and individuals who make up the industry.

Along with the RPOA-M board members, my main goals are to well represent all of you to the members of the Michigan Legislature and Executive Office; keep all of you consistently informed on what is happening in Lansing and around the state on issues affecting the industry both on policy and political; and to continue to grow the Association. I will be expanding on these goals and supplying more information as I plan on meeting with all members associations over the summer. I will be reaching out soon to get those scheduled. I look forward to meeting you all in person!

It is my goal to be able to serve as not only an invaluable resource for RPOA-M members but also to represent all of you to ensure that your voices are heard in Lansing and throughout the state of Michigan. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or if you are in need of any information. My contact information is listed below.

Again, thank you for allowing me to join you in growing the RPOA-M and the industry in Michigan. I am ready to hit the ground running!

Sincerely,

Erika Farley Executive Director Rental Property Owners Association of Michigan erikaf@rpoaofmichigan.org
